  • Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumarate Molecular Formula: C28H47NO4S.CH4O4 Molecular Weight: 609.8 Appearance: White off-white crystalline powder Solubility: Freely soluble in methanol and ethanol and soluble in water; Sparingly soluble in acetone and practically insoluble in hexane. Melting point: 143-149 degree C Specs: Calculated on the anhydrous base, Tiamulin Fumarate contains not less than 98% of C28H47NO4S.CH4O4 / and Tiamulin fumarate premix contains not less than 80% C28H47NO4S.CH4O4. Mode of action: Tiamulin is a prokaryotic ribosome inhibitor that acts by blocking the initiation of polypeptide chain formation, thus preventing the synthesis of key enzymes and other proteins. The development of resistance to Tiamulin does not occur in one step fashion, but becomes evident only after serial passage of sensitive bacteria on tiamulin-containing media. The antibiotic is intended for the treatment of chronic respiratory tract disease on chickens, mycoplasma pneumonia on pigs and diarrhea caused by dense dense leptospira. Meanwhile, it acts as a groth regulator and improves the utilization of feed.
