EMARiT: beeing develement in 10 years of research and development in a cooperation between Keskin Kimya
A.S. and Yavuz Metal San. Tic. A.S. and it is under the patent protection Nr. TR 19990131 of the T.C.
Turkish Patent Institute.
Our company is producing enamel products. In the branch of temperature fittings we are producing enamel
stove, stove-pipe and accesories but for the constarction branch we are producing our new product Emarit
"Enamel metal roofing tile".
WHAT IS "EMARIT" ?
Emarit is an extremely resistant, light, and easy-to assemble roof coating material with a warranty
period of 40 years which is made up of 0.70 DKP sheet through pressing with special moulds, and then
klin-dried at 850 C' by means of two coatings of electrostatic enamel.
Thank to these specifications, Emarit provides a high level of heat and sound insulation. In addition,
It has a high level of waterproofing since it prevents accumulation of dust, water and snow. It protects
the roof against all kinds of weather conditions, and ensures continuous resistance and insulation. No
auxiliary insulation material is needed durink application. It can serve for many years without need for
any additional insulation material due to its structure.
WHAT IS "ENAMEL" ?
As well known, enamel has been used so far for kitchenware, heating materials, bathtubs and many other
areas having found an application area as a roof material for the first time, enamel is the healthiest
surface coating material with the longest life-span. In addition to these features, enamel colours are
not superficial. Paints manufactured from naturel inorganic oxides penetrate into enamel, and then melt
on the metal. Its is not diluted , nor loses its colour tone and brilliance due to sunlight or atmospheric
conditions. The researches have revealed that atmospheric conditions have acidity effects. However, enamel
has a high level of resistance against acids. Enamel has a smooth surface, and therefore prevents
accumulation of dirt and chemicals. It does not attract dusts due to its resistance against anti-static
charges, and provides 100 % resistance against corrosion. It prevents reproduction of microbes and bacteria.
Emarit is a very light material when compared to roof tiles. It provides a lightness at a rate of 1/5 when
compared to roof tiles and other similar materials.
This material is also preferable due to its zero wastage, easy assembly, and savings from workmanship and
transportation. Whereas Normal roof tiles has a weight of 4000 kg per 100 m2, Emarit has a weight of only
800 kg per 100 m2, thus allows a saving of 35 % from workmanship and constructive materials.
Being subject to 10 different tests during production as per TSE and DIN norms, Emarit has a warranty period
of 40 years.
