  • p-Hydroxybenzaldehyde (PHBA) is an important organic synthesized intermediate and fine chemical product in the fields of medicine, perfume, agricultural pesticides, electroplating, liquid crystal, and so forth. In medicine, it could be used for making broad-spectrum antibacterial synergist TMP synthesizing sulfanilamide medicines, ampicillin, the intermediate of half synthetic oral penicillin, p-hydroxybenzoate glycoside ammonia acid, and other intermediates. In shampoo industry, it is mainly used for making raspberry ketone, methyl, bourbonal, anisic aldehyde, and nitrile perfumes, etc.. In agricultural pesticide, it is mainly used for synthesizing new pesticides, herbicides, bromoxynil, hydroxyl dichlobenil, etc.. In plating industry, it is used as a new nitriless brightening agent for electroplating.
